Vaccine for College Bound Students Available!

Attention: Parents of college bound seniors and juniors! Colleges require a second Meningococcal Meningitis vaccine also known as MCV4 to attend college. The Waco/McLennan County Health Department will be on our campus April 4th to provide this needed vaccine as a service to our students. According to our school records, over 100 of our seniors have not gotten this vaccine to date. Students can pick up a copy of their shot record and the permission form until March 22nd.   March 22nd is our cutoff date to sign up so the Health Department can order the vaccines needed. If your student does not have insurance the cost is only $14.00.  After graduation, this vaccine can cost your student over $129.00 at your local drug store. We are excited that the Health Department is working with us to provide the required vaccine at a cost that meets most family budgets and makes college just a bit closer in our students future plans. Remember, Wednesday, March 22nd  is deadline to sign up and the Clinic is Tuesday, April 4th.  For more information, please call Ms. Sandra Howland, LVHS Nurse, at 254-299-6828.
