Dr. Walthall, Board Vice President, has been a LVISD Board Member for 15 years. She received a Bachelors of Science Degree in 1979 from New Mexico Tech, and a D.V.M. (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) from Kansas State University in 1983. Dr. Walthall is a graduate of the 1st Leadership TVMA Class, and is a Board Member for the Texas Veterinary Medical Association. She is the co-founder and co-chair of the North Central Texas District Veterinary Medical Association, and is a member of theTexas Academy of Veterinary Practice. Dr. Walthall is also a member of the National School Boards Association and Texas Association of School Boards, and was a graduate of 1997 Leadership TASB. She currently serves on the Texas Association of School Boards Board of Directors. Dr. Walthall served as the School Board President in 1992-93 and in 2002-2003. Dr. Walthall is married to Roy Walthall and they have two children, Telly and Rydell. Her hobbies and interests include astronomy, photography, horseback riding, and watching the X-Files.
