La Vega I.S.D. may close schools for a full day or part of a day because of weather conditions, utility curtailments and/or security related circumstances. When such conditions exist, the superintendent will make the official decision concerning the closing of the District's facilities. When it becomes necessary to open late, release students early, or make other announcements regarding school operations, the following radio and television stations will be notified by school officials:

KWTX - TV Channel 10
KXXV TV - Channel 25
KWTX Radio 97.5 FM
WACO - FM 100 / 1460 AM
KBRQ Radio 102.5 FM
KLRK Radio 92.9

Students, staff, and parents should listen for these announcements between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. during the period of inclement weather.
