State Accountability Resources
State Accountability Reports (www.txschools.gov.) - Contains interactive accountability rating summaries and detailed reports for each district, campus, and open-enrollment charter school in the state of Texas. The Texas Education Agency has additional resources on the A-F Accountability System.
Federal Report Cards - The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) requires requires each State education agency to report annually to the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education.
School Report Cards - The SRC combines accountability ratings, data from the Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR), and financial information to give a broad view of campus performance.
Texas Academic Performance Reports (TAPR) - Pulls together a wide range of information annually on the performance of students in each school and district. The report provides extensive information on staff, programs, and demographics for each school and the district.
Snapshot School District Profiles - provides an overview of public education for a particular district in a specific school year. In addition to state-level information, the profile contains characteristics of the district. Additional historical data is available for each district beginning with 2002-03 through 2019 from the TEA Performance Reporting website.
Results Driven Accountability Data and Reports -The Results Driven Accountability (RDA) data is reported at district, region, and state levels on the performance of school districts and charter schools in selected program areas (bilingual education/English as a second language/English learners, other special populations inclusive of students in foster care, students who are homeless, students who are military connected, and special education). Data is provided as downloadable data files.
Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) - The state's school financial accountability rating system ensures that Texas public schools are held accountable for the quality of their financial management practices and that they improve those practices. La Vega received an "A = Superior Achievement Rating". The 2020-2021 ratings are based on the 2019-2020 school year data.
