Ann Garrett serves as an Instructional Technology Specialist for La Vega Independent School District. From January 2004-June 2013 she worked at La Vega Primary as a Reading Interventionist. Prior to coming to La Vega ISD, Mrs. Garrett worked as an Instructional Technology Specialist for the Region 12 Education Service Center. Her past experiences also include teaching elementary students in Missouri and in Texas. She also worked teaching computer skills and software programs to adults throughout the United States as an Education Instruction Specialist with IBM.
Mrs. Garrett serves as a resource for training district personnel in technology. This includes training teachers in individual software packages or on district systems. She also works with teachers helping them to incorporate technology into their daily teaching.
Ann received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri, and did graduate coursework through UMKC and Northwest Missouri State. Her hope is that all of our students and staff are successful in school and throughout their lives. She feels honored and blessed to work with the students and faculty of La Vega ISD!
