Tributes & Memorial Gifts
Is there someone special that you would like to honor on his or her birthday, anniversary, graduation or “just because”? Additionally, you may want to memorialize someone who has passed away that you wish to remember with a donation. Why not make a gift to the La Vega Pirates Education Foundation in honor or in memory of that special person?
Upon receipt of your gift, the La Vega Pirates Education Foundation will send a card to the individual honored, or their family, notifying them of your thoughtfulness and generosity.

La Vega High School Library renaming and improvements.
The La Vega Pirates Education Foundation assisted in the renaming of the La Vega High School Library to the Diane Dietiker Media Center.
Ms. Dietiker was first an English teacher at La Vega High School and then served as librarian from 1976 until she passed away in 2019. Her impact on La Vega Pirates has been insurmountable and this will make a lasting impact on a space she so dearly cared for for so many years.
The foundation raised over $19,606 and then matched those funds with $11,097.55 in education foundation funds to make this project a reality.

La Vega Teachers of Tomorrow / Future Educators Endowed Scholarship
In 2019, an endowed scholarship fund was established for graduating seniors from La Vega High School interested in pursuing a bachelor's degree in education. Additional contributions may be made to this endowment in order for it to grow for future scholarships.

Book Vending Machine Sponsorship
La Vega ISD currently has three book vending machines in the district. These are located at the primary, elementary and intermediate campuses.
If you are interested in sponsoring books for the vending machine, please download the form below.
We can also take one-time donations through the donation link below. Simply enter "for vending machine books" in the notes to seller portion of the donation form. Please make sure to add which campus you would like to purchase books for also - Primary, Elementary or Intermediate or your gift will be designated to the campus with the most need.
