Police Department

The La Vega Police Department operates its own police force with six police officers. The Police Department was created in August of 2009 to address school safety and curb in-school crime. The La Vega ISD Police Department also spends their time educating the youth of today through our Junior Police Academy. We also provide training for all staff including  Active Shooter Training and STOP the Bleed training. You will see us at all school events and participating in some as well. We also participate in city events, most notably the "City of Bellmead National Night Out".
