Welcome to the LVISD Child Nutrition Department
The mission of the La Vega Independent School District Child Nutrition Office, recognizing the vital relationship between nutrition and education, is to ensure that every student is offered a high quality, well balanced, nutritious meal at breakfast as well as lunch, with friendly service, by a quality staff observing high sanitation and safety standards, utilizing cost effective management practices, and following the child nutrition program guidelines.
All enrolled La Vega ISD students will receive free breakfast and lunch for the
2025 - 2026 school year! Meal applications are not required.
The La Vega Independent School District will operate the Community Eligibility Program (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2025 - 2026 school year. Schools qualifying to operate CEP serve breakfast and lunch to all children at no charge.

The National School Lunch and Breakfast Program at La Vega ISD is planned and managed by Aramark Student Nutrition.
