Healthy Relationships Program Overview (6th Grade)
The Healthy Relationships Program is designed to guide intermediate school students through the essential social-emotional skills needed to build positive, respectful, and safe relationships with peers, family, and community members.
Program Core Pillars

Self-Awareness & Communication: Students learn to identify their emotions, articulate personal boundaries, and practice active listening and assertive (non-aggressive) communication.

Friendship & Peer Dynamics: Lessons focus on identifying traits of healthy friendships, navigating changing social circles, recognizing peer influence, and standing up against bullying or exclusion.

Conflict Resolution: Students develop practical strategies to resolve disagreements constructively, manage anger, practice empathy, and know when to seek help from a trusted adult.

Digital Literacy & Online Relationships: Guidance on maintaining appropriate boundaries, demonstrating cyber-citizenship, and understanding the impact of digital communication on real-world relationships.

Respect & Boundaries: Emphasizes respecting individual differences, personal space, consent in everyday peer interactions, and basic socio-emotional health habits.
