La Vega Independent School District

Technology

The La Vega ISD department of technology is important because it connects people to people and people to ideas which prepares students and faculty to function in the world.

Technology will empower students and faculty by providing a more efficient and effective way to facilitate learning.

Technology will be fully integrated in the classroom by becoming an integral part of the learning/instructional process, and will be a significant component of a well-balanced district program to develop life-long learners.

La Vega Independent School District will incorporate technology as a natural part of the education through a systematically integrated framework to govern acquisition, application, and evaluation of technological resources, which help ensure all students will have the opportunity to develop life-long learning skills.

1:1 Chromebook Program

La Vega ISD is committed to providing students with the best education possible. Part of that mission is providing the best tools to help students learn and prepare themselves for the world they will be entering upon graduation.

La Vega ISD will provide students a Chromebook for their use while they are part of La Vega High School. Upon paying a nominal fee for insurance purposes, students will be issued a Chromebook to use at school and home. Upon graduation, students that have met all requirements may keep the Chromebook to assist them with their next level of learning.
