TEA Early Learning Family Access Survey

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is looking to better understand how families find and access early learning programs for their young children. TEA developed the Family Access Survey to better understand families’ experiences across Texas, including barriers they may encounter when accessing or enrolling in early learning programs. Recognizing that this information can also be valuable to individual school systems in understanding the needs in their communities, TEA would like to share the survey results with educational service centers to share with school systems in their region. Survey responses are anonymous and will not be connected to an individual family or school system. TEA will use the information to identify opportunities to increase awareness of available programs and improve access for families statewide.

Potential audiences for the survey include:

  • Current prekindergarten families in your school system
  • Families served through prekindergarten partnership sites
  • Families with children ages 3–5 who have recently enrolled or are seeking an early learning program
